Many professionals nowadays find comfort in taking a home-based job primarily because they're fed up of the office ambiance. Practically, you want to give it a shot as to how to be your own boss by starting to work from home. Other companies also welcome the idea of favoring their employees to work at home provided they deliver their tasks accordingly. Maybe you are one of them. You're lucky that you can manage your time and be productive in the end with less supervision.

If you are considering work at home, why not become a home-based travel agent? People from all over the world do their travel bookings online. Your job entails gathering, encoding and confirming your client's information. You might have to create good relationships with hotel and airline companies for this one.

The tourism industry is exciting in that it allows you to get connected to everybody with different races, religion and language. English is your universal medium of course, so you don't need to learn other foreign languages. It might be a plus, though, if you know how to speak the languages of French, German and Spanish speaking travelers.

As a home-based agent, you will be ready to respond to email inquiries, concerns and feedbacks. Your desktop and Internet connection must be secured to avoid delay of transactions. You will also need a reliable phone line and quiet environment where you can work effectively.

If you are a quick respondent to your clients, they will likely get your services repeatedly. Jet-setters prefer quick responses because usually they're in a rush. Other companies offer paid training to hired home-based agents.
