I cycle 4 1/2 miles to work.
Not that i'm ungreatful for the 10 points but how the hell did I manage this one? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20061021182606AAznbV9&kid=TZEnXDG_WTgIMWESYuA2Q7pb0ZKcqLnplWaUdroRzouMwnVeplA5&s=comm&date=2006-10-31+08%3A59%3A47&.crumb=
I travel 39 miles to work, 6 days a week. Before I moved a little closer to work I was driving 62 miles one way. Now I drive about 6 miles to what I used to consider my half-way point. A tip for anyone that drives these distances.... Books on tape are great.

I work from home :)
I travel about 1 1/2 miles to work everyday. I certainly can't beat 55 miles......I wouldn't even consider driving that far. I put $5.00 worth of gas in my GMC Sonoma once a week, whether it needs it or not.
I work in space.
i travel about 500 yards to get to work
it takes me approximately two to three minutes to walk to work. it takes longer to drive, which i do on night shift cos I'm a lazy git
drive about 3 miles to work but i drive in total on average 50-75 miles per day as I am a delivery driver.
35 miles each way
I'm not sure of the exact mileage (or kilometrage) but I earn close to 8000 airmiles to and from work. I think that has to be one of the longest commutes and it takes me upto 48hrs.
OK I do work month on month off but I think it should still count.
Once I am at work it takes me about 2 minutes to walk from the accomodation to the office (3 if I walk the long way), do I have both the longest and shortest commute??
I walk approximately 100 meters ( I think it's less than 100 meters) from where I work. I work in a hotel then there is a parking area in between the hotel and the house where I live. this has to be the shortest!
I'm on the road, and I travel anything from 25 miles to 200 miles to work. I often clock in excess of 1000 miles/week.
Not sure when I get the time to actually work??!
i drive 4 miles
May I suggest moving?
I live in Tampa and right now - it is 26 miles and 45 minutes due to traffic lights..........
I travel about 5,000 miles...but then I am an astronaut after all! the commute can get a bit boring sometimes, all of the stars look the same
I live in the Midlands, and every day of the year I drive to Glasgow airport, fly to Jersey, ferry to San Marlo, ferry to Jersey, fly to Glasgow and drive home - a shoe box in the middle of the M6
I walk a few feet to the addition we put on the house for my childminding (daycare to Americans) business.
only 25 but it's enough
