34 weeks and I travel 2 hours for work everyday?

I plan to work until the end of September, my due date is Oct. 13th. I really need the money but I'm starting to wonder about how safe it is since I ride alone and I travel from town to town where the majority of the roads are dirt. Any advice, I feel great but there's always that chance right?

go with your gut. if you don't feel safe, why risk it? there are so many sad stories of pregnant women getting hurt so close to their due date. it really is heartbreaking. but also, what if you go into labor out there? i'm sure many people go into labor and drive themselves to the hospital, but again, why risk it? you can go on maternity leave, and the SSI or one of those branches will pay for it. it may not be as much, but it would help out. good luck and congrats on the babe.

ok just keep a cell phone with you at all times and make sure you have time on it.

you'll be fine and good luck to you

I think you should probably talk to your doctor if you have any concerns and good luck to you. I'm 19 weeks and I'm ready to stop working because I'm sooo tired!!

I would make sure you have some type of defense with you...either a baseball bat or mace. And as always a charged cell-phone, granted they work on those back roads. Make sure you have someone who knows where you travel (someone trustworthy). It isn't that much longer, i'm sure things will be fine; try not to stress to much!!!

Congrats on your little one!

hormones make you worry about everything! Make sure your cell phone is on you and charged at all times and you are wearing your seatbelt correctly! You should be okay dont stress it!!!

I would ask your boss if they can make accomodations for you to do a closer route or something in the office. My water broke unexpectedly at 32 weeks 3 days shortly after returning from a trip out of town. My contractions started almost immediately. I don't want to alarm you but you should be cautious just in case. If nothing else, make sure you always have a cell phone on you and know the nearest available hospitals and clinics. Good luck!
